A federal judge in west Texas has joined other courts in temporarily blocking the deportations of Venezuelan immigrants under an 18th century wartime law cited by the Trump administration, known as the Alien Enemies Act.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents have deported a breastfeeding Cuban-born mother of a 1-year-old girl, as well as three children — all U.S. citizens — along with their Honduran-born mothers.
